Vivek Kumar Shakya, hailing from a small town Chhibramau in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, is a shining example of how dedication and consistency can turn a small initiative into a large movement.
After completing his early education in Chhibramau, he pursued higher studies and in 2022 took admission at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur.
His journey from a small Facebook group to helping millions of students is a testament to his commitment to student welfare and support.
Alongside his studies, Vivek started a small Facebook group to share useful updates and information related to the university with fellow students.
Initially, there were only about 50 close friends in the group. But due to his honest efforts, reliable updates, and continuous support, the number of students kept growing, soon reaching into the thousands.
By 2023, Vivek's network had expanded across Kannauj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Auraiya, Unnao, Kanpur Nagar, and Kanpur Dehat covering around 680 colleges.
His Facebook group grew to over 30,000 members. He launched "University Tak" website and a CSJMU WhatsApp Channel in September 2023 to provide quicker updates.
When the Government of Uttar Pradesh made e-KYC mandatory through the DG Shakti Portal, Vivek launched digishaktiekyc.online.
By 2024-2025, the website ranked at the top on Google and helped complete e-KYC for more than 1 million students.
By 2025, the CSJMU WhatsApp Channel had crossed 20,000+ members. He also launched a Telegram Channel which quickly became popular.
Currently, more than 11,000+ members are connected via Telegram Channel and 37,000+ via WhatsApp Channel.
